ISO/VDI Test Centers
According to VDI 2862 standards, three types of bolt failures are recognized:
Type A Bolt Failures: Significant to safety (these failures trigger indirect or immediate danger to people and objects).
Type B Bolt Failures: Significant to function (self-loosening) – occurs when the bolt failure leads to a vehicle breakdown.
Type C Bolt Failures: Customer dissatisfaction – occurs when bolt failure causes customer inconvenience.
